Volunteer

A Better World Cafe provides volunteers with a chance to work in a cafe environment, including prepping food, cleaning, community interaction, and more.  Positions are posted on Volunteer Hub and you can sign up there.
  •  Helpers are needed Monday-Friday to assist with cafe set up, serving, food prep, dishwashing, clean up and break down. Shifts are 2 ½  to 3 hours depending on availability. Volunteers will be scheduled between 10:30am and 4 pm daily. Individuals can sign up for one or more shifts.  It is recommended to sign up for no more than 2 shifts per week.  Volunteers will be oriented and supervised by Cafe Staff.

  • Cafe volunteers must wear a hat, scarf or other head covering during their shift.  Hair nets will be
    •  provided if no head covering is worn.
  • Volunteers should be dressed neatly and cleanly when coming in for a shift.  You may bring an apron to wear to protect your clothing.
